The Diploma in Law (DIL) is designed to introduce students to global practices in law and how they work together in a worldwide.  The students will be exposed to the operational aspects of the law and how it can be managed by using a properly established standard based on government policies.  The programme aim is to produce graduates who possess a satisfactory command of legal knowledge, skill and aptitude to serve the profession, society and the nation.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

i. A pass in SPM / SPMV with at least credit in 3 subjects and a pass in English;

OR

ii. A pass in Unified English Certificate (UEC) with at least grade B in 3 subjects;

OR

iii. A pass in O’ Level with at least grade C in 3 subjects;

OR

iv. A pass in SijilKemahiran Malaysia (SKM) (Level 3 MQF) in a relevant field and a pass in SPM with at least credit in 1 subject and a pass in English;

OR

v. A pass in Community College Certificate (SKK), equivalent to MQF Level 3 in the relevant field and a pass in SPM with at least credit in 1 subject and a pass in English;

OR

vi. A pass certificate (MQF, Level 3) in a related field with at least minimum CGPA of 2.00;

OR

vii. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with at least Grade C (2.00) in 1 subject;

OR

viii. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) (rank maqbul);

OR

ix. Any other recognized qualifications and equivalent by Government of Malaysia.

 

 * A student has to acquire 92 credit hours to complete this programme.

STUDY PROGRESSION

Graduates from DIB could pursue their studies in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics Management, Finance, Marketing, and other relevant fields at any local and private institution of higher learning throughout Malaysia and abroad upon graduation.

CAREER PROSPECT

In this course you will be provided with the skills and knowledge in various aspects of law enforcement, criminal law and related areas. It is specifically geared towards providing students with an understanding in criminology, criminal law and practices, administrative law, and the criminal justice system. Student will also be trained in leadership and teamwork. Through this course, you will be shaped to become one rank above the rest and have a higher possibility of success in the entry-level employment stage in a range of security management and law enforcement occupations.
