With a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) you will study accounting, law and economics and finance as part of your commerce degree, and can choose from subjects like taxation law, auditing and financial planning to specialize your skills in accounting. When you graduate from our degree, you can then go on to gain professional accounting accreditation.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

MUET
Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 2; AND

STPM

i. A pass in STPM or its equivalent, with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any two subjects, and credits in Mathematics at SPM level;  OR

STAM

ii. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid, (good) and credits in Mathematics at SPM level; OR

DIPLOMA

iii. A diploma in accounting or related field, or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and credits in Mathematics at SPM level; OR

MATRICULATION/FOUNDATION
iv. Matriculation/Foundation qualification or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and credits in Mathematics SPM level. .

* Mathematics credit requirement at SPM level for candidates (i), (ii) and (iv) can be waived should the qualification includes mathematics education and its achievement is equal to or greater than the credit requirement of the subject at SPM level.

International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 6.0 for IELTS OR its equivalent.

 

** A student has to acquire 126 credit hours to complete this program.

STUDY PROGRESSION

Satisfactory completion of this course can lead to Master of Accounting, Master of Business Administration in any public and private institution in Malaysia or overseas.

You may also pursue your study at a professional level such as CPA, ACCA and CIMA.

CAREER PROSPECT

Graduates with an accounting specialisation are employed in a wide variety of commercial, government and professional settings namely, auditing, taxation, public accounting, finance, management accounting, financial planning, banking, human resource and management.
